Make a zombie boyfriend video

He always said he would survive the apocalypse. This is the version where he did not, and still found you.

Updated Oct 20, 2026

In a zombie boyfriend video the roles flip from the usual action film. He is not the one holding the door shut; he is the one shuffling down the street, pale and slow, and you are the survivor who decides not to run. The payoff is the moment he stops, looks at you and clearly remembers.

Setting it up

  • Survivor slot (Photo 1): you. Your face, hair and clothes stay as they are.
  • Zombie partner slot (Photo 2): him. Same face, hair and build, with grey skin, faint veins, clouded eyes and worn-out clothes. He moves stiffly, but he is gentle, never aggressive.
  • Frame: 9:16 if it is going on TikTok, Reels or Shorts; 16:9 for YouTube or a TV.
  • Quality: Standard 720p for 1 credit, HD 1080p for 2.

Then press Create and wait a few minutes for a 15 second clip with music. If you want to be the zombie instead, tap ⇄, and you have a zombie girlfriend video. The full how-to covers every option.

Turn him into a zombie

Stories that play well with him as the zombie

  • Rain Reunion: you hear slow footsteps behind you on a neon street, turn, and it is him, soaked. You drop the umbrella and run to him. The most dramatic option.
  • Rooftop Sunset: you rest your head on his shoulder and he stiffly puts an arm around you. Quiet, sweet, and very shareable.
  • The Last Embrace: you lower the gun you could not fire and he runs into your arms. The version most people know from the trend.
  • One Last Dance: you guide his clumsy zombie waltz. Good if he really cannot dance.

Photo tips for men's photos

  • Skip the low-angle car selfie and the gym mirror shot. A straight-on photo at eye level keeps his face proportions right.
  • Take off caps and sunglasses; the model needs his hairline and eyes.
  • Short hair and beards are fine. Very dark photos lose the beard edge, so pick a well-lit one.
  • If you only have photos of the two of you together, crop out a single face for each slot rather than using the group shot.

Ideas for using it

  • An anniversary post with a caption like "still mine, even like this".
  • A reply to the "would you still love me if I was a zombie" question, with the answer on screen.
  • A surprise for the partner who swears he has a zombie survival plan.

His consent, and yours

Both people must be adults and both must agree to appear. Photos of actors, athletes and other public figures are refused. Your photos stay in the browser until you press Create, and are deleted after the safety check; the face references are removed from the provider once the video is done. Ready? Upload both photos or compare plans.

Questions

Does a beard or glasses work?

Beards and stubble are kept from the photo and usually look great on a zombie. Glasses are less reliable, so a photo without them gives a closer likeness.

Can two men or two women make this video?

Yes. Roles follow the photo slot, not gender. Whoever is in Photo 2 turns, whoever is in Photo 1 stays human.

Can he see the video before I post it?

Yes, and he should. Download the MP4 from My videos and send it to him privately first, then post it together if he likes it.
